Ok so i totally know this is long overdue but it has definitely been a crazy couple months. Our 4th of july was great and very relaxing we didnt go anywhere exciting we just stayed local and loved it! We went to the cruise in (pictures will come later) and shot fireworks off at home. Little makayla is 8 months old already I just cant believe my little baby is so big already!! She started saying da da yesterday it is too cute and wants to walk so so bad!! Jaxton is only 2 months from being 3 yrs old!! That is just the craziest thing ever to me. He is just my big helper and wants to be so independent already! He loves his daddy and wants to go fishing allll the time it has to be his most favorite thing to do! He is actually very good he has caught something every time they have gone. The first time he caught this little baby fish that wasnt longer then 3 or 4 in but he was so excited he held it and called it his baby fish. The next time he caught like an 8 in fish but that scared him it was a little too big for his liking what a nut lol. I cant believe these guys are growing so fast its bitter sweet! Now on to me, I started school the first of june to become a medical assistant. Its been very exciting but hard because I am gone 40+ hours a week and the kids miss me(or should I say I miss them to death!!). I am just so thankful travis is able to be home with them it saves a ton on babysitting thats for sure. I love it and cant wait to finish. Travis has been such a help and has also been sooo busy with home improvements and additions. We decided to put up a fence to keep the kids in the back yard to be safe so we got our land surveyed and came to find that we owned alot more land then we thought we did so that was a nice surprise. So he has been way busy everyday putting up a fence and also tilling our yard up to plant better softer grass in the back since there is hay growing in our newly expanded yard. Im so grateful for everything he does and what a good dad he is! Also on an end note we added a little addition to our family as well. Her name is Princess Diana (yes i did name her that lol) she is a miniture schnauzer and the most sweetest little thing ever. Ok so my little Layla Marie is 6 months old already (on the 4th) . She has just gotten so big it makes me wonder where the time went. The stats: She is 17 lbs 6 oz today and is 26 1/2 inches tall which is funny enough their both in the 73rd percentile. She is almost crawling and trys so hard to get up on her hands and knees. Makayla loves to laugh at people and absolutley loves watching whatever her big brother is doing. She laughs all the time and is such a content little girl who will just sit quitely in her car seat or on the floor and sometimes makes me forget for a second that she is still there lol but can also let us know with her big strong lungs that she is here and ready to be picked up. She has added so much more meaning to my life and makes our little family complete. We just love her to death and we are so blessed to have her here with us. We love you makayla and cant wait to see what comes next..!!

First bike ride of the year!!

Ok so I have been meaning to update this for a while now but never find the time to do it. I have to remind myself that one day I want to look back at this and reminise about what it was like at this time. So here it goes...Makayla is almost 6 months old and is such a character. She loves her mommy and daddy (especially her daddy :)) She wants so badly to be able to do what jaxton is doing. She is trying to crawl now but hasnt quite figured out the getting on your knees part. She does love to roll around though but doesnt like to for too long before getting too tired. She smiles at everyone and just loves everything and everyone all the time. People even come up to me and are amazed at how happy she is all the time. Now Jaxton is my big studly big boy who is 2 yrs and 7 months old. He loves to be outside allll day now that it has warmed up and he is learning new things daily. He is growing so fast I cant believe it. He just loves his little sister and is already very very protective of her its too cute! He loves helping daddy with anything and everything even if its something like taking the garbage out or fixing his little 4-wheeler. He speaks in clear almost full sentences now and suprises us all the time with the interesting things he says. Everyday he wakes up and gets more and more independent which is bitter sweet because he is growing to be a big strong boy which is great but he needs his mommy less and less as it happens. Im so glad god gave me the chance to be their mother and I cherish every moment I have with them. I am truely blessed to have these 2 great kids!! Now on to Travis...He is working so hard on our house lately its amazing. He has already built our master bathroom and is starting on our laundry room which should be done any time now. He has a few projects lined up already that should keep him pretty busy for a while. After the laundry room he is on to build a fence in the backyard so jaxton has a fun SAFE environment to play in. (anyone who knows my house knows the street in front of it is a speed zone!!) While doing that he is planning on doing a sand box for jaxton somewhere in the backyard. Anyways you get the point :) He is such a great husband and a even more wonderful father. He does so much for us and I appreciate him so much for all he does!! Well there you have it in a very big nut shell :)

This is Kurtis makaylas cousin who is 15 months old. We went to visit them in st george this past week to get away for a little while. He is such a cutie and has the most adorable personality as does his older sister my niece kailee who is 4. We went and ate on afternoon and he wanted to hold makayla so with the help of my brother he held her and it was so funny. He just stared at her like what exactly are you lol but she got a kick from it and smiled at him the whole time. She is such a happy baby and loves all the attention she gets. Im so lucky to have such cute kids and an amazing family. Love you guys so so much and am so happy I got to come down for a while!

P.S. Makayla is so much smaller then what she looks in this picture. Kurtis is sitting in a booster seat and she is sitting on top of it so it looks like they are the same size lol.

Here is makayla today waiting for mommy to put down the camera and get ready to leave for the doctors. We went to get her shots and her measurements today for her 4 month check up. She weighed in at 14 lbs and 10 oz which was in the 70th percentile and 24 1/2 inches long which was in the 60th percentile. Also they measured her head and she was in the 25th percentile lol so she has a tiny head but a cute one :). She has always had a smaller head since birth but thats ok cuz its so adorable. I just love this girl to pieces :)
Oh my big boy jaxton is such a stud..he wanted to help mommy make rice crispy hearts last night and he sure did a great job helping and also eating them after lol. I just love how big he is getting and how extremely smart he grows everyday. I love this guy so much!!!

Makayla was just wanting me to pick her up so bad in tthis pic that she was kinda holding her breathe alittle. What a funny little girl :)
She was getting a little antsy and starting to tense up. Also below she was holding her binkie while sleeping the other day and thought it looked so cute :)

Makayla went to her 2 month well baby check up last friday. She is just growing like a weed I cant believe my precious baby is already 2 months old! She weighed in at 10 lbs 9 oz and 23 inches long. Holy cow talk about a big change from her 2 week check up. The difference is at 2 weeks: 6 lbs 10 oz...2 months: 10 lbs 9 oz. Thats about 4 lbs different wow. Then at 2 weeks: 20.5 inches...2 months: 23 inches.Thats about 3 inches almost! She sure is growing way too fast. The nurse calculated her percentages and in weight she is in the 38th percentile and height is in the 70th! She sure will be tall alright. But I have already decided that by the time both makayla and jaxton are 12 yrs old they will be taller then me(im only 5'2") :( sad but thats ok :) Lets see what else...Makayla already has me twisted around her little fingers. She is so attached to me as i am to her. She has always been so alert and aware of her surroundings and wants to be up and looking at everyone and everything constently. Makayla just loves her big brother and loves to smile at anyone who will make a funny face at her. I just love her so much and am so excited to see her grow even more!
Heres a shout out to my big boy Jaxton. He is 2 yrs and 4 months old already!! I cant believe he was my tiny baby boy not too long ago. He is developing so much lately. He can repeat almost anything you say (which isnt too good sometimes lol). He loves playing with his cars and trucks and has this thing for dinosaurs and monsters. He pretends to go around roaring as one of those depending on his mood. What a little firecracker. He definitley keeps me on my toes and is always finding new ways to surprise me with how smart he is. He loves to tell me travis and makayla he loves us all the time (so precious)! He is also growing like a weed at about 34 lbs and 34 inches (not too sure if thats exact). He absolutley just loves Makayla and always wants to give her kisses and hold her on his lap. I feel bad for her boyfriends when she is dating lol they will have to go through jaxton. His best friend is his cousin Dax (pictured above) who also is his worst enemy sometimes but they really do love to play together. He stresses me out at times with how energetic he can be but I really do enjoy seeing him explore new things and get smarter everyday. I just love him to peices and cant wait to also see whats next with Jaxton!

Last week friday me travis and jaxton went into town to run some errands. Travis decided that him and jaxton will just wait at his moms while I ran the errands cuz it would be easier since it was raining a bit. I was gone about 20 minutes and when I got back this is how I found jaxton. Travis's brother came over with his son and they got into playing dress up in all the old halloween costumes. Of course the boys wanted to be princesses with crowns but to make it alittle more boyish he put a pink zorro mask on lol. Jaxton is getting to be such a little character and I love seeing him grow up! I am so excited to see what else is in store. I love this little guy so much and cant wait to add one more to the bunch.

P.S. On a side note I am getting induced tomorrow morning (wed Nov 4th) so little makayla will be joining us very soon and I will update pictures as soon as I can. Wish us luck!

Big Boy Bed..!!!

So yesterday my mom and I went to logan and picked out jaxton's new big boy bed because its about time we are going to put the crib in makaylas room. He got to choose what bedding he got and he totally got excited over the cars one. All day we kept saying "Ok jaxton tonight your gonna be a big boy and sleep in your big boy bed" and he was so happy. That is until it got to be bedtime then he wasnt so sure about this. I landed up laying down next to him in that tiny bed until he fell asleep which wasnt easy my stomache took up the majority of the bed lol. He slept in there about 3/4 of the night but then woke up and wanted to come to mommys bed. I am so proud of him for doing so good and we are gonna continue until he gets used to it.

Travis and I went to Boise ID yesterday for an interview and we had to leave jaxton at home. On our way home we thought it would be nice to take the opportunity to spend some time alone together. He took me to see this canyon in twin falls but I cant remember what the name of it was. It was so amazing and beautiful and deep! I am scared of heights but it wasnt too bad lol. This canyon is where Evil canevil tried to jump but didnt make it and had to open his parachute. It was perfect weather and it was nice having that time to just talk and be with my hubby.

You probably cant tell but in the middle of the picture above the trees is a giant water fall called Shoshone Falls its bigger then the niagra falls. We were gonna go closer to it but you had to pay and it was getting too late so we decided not to.

My friend Tiffany asked me if she could take some pictures of jaxton for practice to become a photographer. I was a little nervous cuz jaxton never sits still when I want to take his picture but suprisingly enough he did really well. He listened for the most part and he sat long enough to get these great shots. I think tiff did a great job and jaxton was such a champ!

This is a 4 wheeler travis and his brother used to play on on when they were younger and now its being passed down to jaxton..! He has so much fun riding it especially with daddy :)
Here he is all by himself he just like to sit on it when travis isnt taking him for rides!

My precious little Bruiser got ran over last friday and sadly didnt make it. He was just trying to cross the road to get back home after investigating a dead bird in the ditch when a car hit him. Where as he was only 4 lbs he was killed instintly. I miss him terrably and have cried till i have no more tears but I know he is in a better place able to chase all the birds he wants. We love you Bruiser and I hope you had as much fun with us as we did with you in your short time here on earth..Until we meet again.

We finally got our couches..!!! Its been 2 years since we"ve been married and finally saved enough to buy the couches we want :)

This is my valentines day present. It came at a surprise because travis made me believe that he really wasnt going to get me anything. We came home late on the 13th and I walked in to this on my kitchen counter. What a cute husband I have :) He got me my mixer that I have been dying to get, a dozen roses, 2 bags of my favorite candy and a bag of jerky (thats more for him lol). Thank you honey for the gifts your the best :)

Travis tried cutting jaxton's hair the other day while I was at work. Of course he waited until I was gone to do it because I wouldnt let him touch my cute little boys curls..! I was so upset when I saw what he did to his hair I started crying! Lets just say they were long enough to be in his eyes which is what prompted travis to cut it in the first place. I was so attached to his curls but if he didnt do it then I dont know if I ever would have cut it lol. I had to go get it recut by a professional the next day and I will be posting his after haircut soon its not much different she just trimmed it and evened it out alittle cuz I cant part with those curls quite yet :)

They have these funny little seats in the bathroom at the mall where you can put your kids in while you use the facility :) I put jaxton in it and he just thought it was so fun to be in there. Its so convienent im glad they invented those lol..!

Jaxton has had a lot of things going on lately. The other day he went into his room and turned on the radio and when I went in there to see what he was doing he broke into a funny little dance. he was so cute I couldnt be mad at him lol. Also he went to the dentist last thursday for the first time..! I dont have pictures because I was sitting next to him holding his hands since he wanted to touch the dentists tools lol. He was such a trooper though he didnt cry while the dentist looked around his mouth he only cried when they cleaned his teeth cuz it looked like it hurt! He said his teeth look great and healthy :)

Jaxton stole my bag of doritos out of his diaper bag and got up on our recliner all by himself and this is how I found him just hanging out watching t.v. what a funny little dude..!

Jaxton just loves trying on everyones shoes and wearing them around the house. He trys to walk in my shoes but they are too hard so my slippers are light enought that he can go anywhere in them. He is so hilarious sometimes. It cracks me up..!

This last week my family has really shown me how much they care. Travis has been so supportive and loving and jaxton has been extra cuddly and extra good for me. It has really made me realize how much my family means to me and how special they are. I love you guys so much and am grateful for everything you do. And as for my extended family(that means friends too) thank you for also being so supportive and understanding. Some sad news :(

We got some bad news today..I had to go to the doctors because I started spotting last night so we went and got an ultrasound. I had a blitten ovem which is where my egg fertilized and started growing but the chomosomes didnt fully connect so the baby never fully developed into a baby. So we do not have the baby anymore. I will be passing it sometime soon. Its been hard to handle and im an emotioal mess but I know I will eventually get over it. I have prayed alot and I have come to terms with it and I know god has a reasoon why he kept our little soul for a little longer then was planned. Thanks so much for all the support that is being given we appreciate it.

This is our new puppy that we just got he is so adorable..!! He is about 1 pound and really fluffy and about 6 inches long we are just so hapy to finally have a dog..!

Its been a long time waiting for me to upload pictures of my house sorry its taken so long but here it is enjoy :) This is our living room sorry its not a straight shot because we have a huge window to the left that was really bright in the shot but we have a reclyner and our bean bag over there

Hello everyone so we got the most amazing news and I thought I'd update everyone who doesnt know....IM PREGNANT AGAIN..! We found out yesterday and we are so excited..!!! We started trying to get pregnant last month not expecting to succeed right away because we want to have our kids 2 yrs apart and jaxton is already over 14 months old. My due date is expected to be around the 25th of july. I have to admit im a little nervous about having 2 kids lol im sure its because jaxton is still so little it sounds scary lol but I think i'll do ok :) We couldnt be happier though and thank you so much to everyone who has been so congratulative..!!

Sorry its been a week since i've updated I have had such a crazy week this past week. I got a job working at Maverik in Richmond. I have worked alot and havent had much time to update. This week jaxton has also started walking..!!! I cant believe my little baby is all grown up..! We are also in the process of packing and moving to our house in preston. We will be officially done moving around saturday or sunday and I am so so excited to finally be in our house..! I have just been way way busy with all that has been going on that its been so hard to update expecially when there is so much to update about. Future Bears Fan..!

So travis is a huge Chicago Bears fan and every time they play travis has to go all out. He wears his bears jersey and hat and gets so into the games. Last christmas travis's mom bought jaxton a bears jersey onsie to match travis's. He was too tiny to wear it last year so this year so far every game he gets jaxton into his jersey and they both sit and cheer in their bears stuff. Its so cute..! Im sure jaxton will follow in daddy's footsteps and be a bears fan too cuz he gets so excited and starts dancing and yelling in excitment when he see's travis so excited. He loves just sitting and watching the football games with daddy. We hope the bears do good this year and go all the way...GO BEARS...! :)

Hi everyone, so its been a few days since i've last posted but i've been way busy this last week. Me and travis are in the process of buying a house finally..! I have been running back and forth with paper work and meetings and such but even though its stressful we are so so excited to be home owners..! The date is set to close on the 1st of Oct and we will be moving in on the 3rd. We are very happy to have this opportunity and feel very grateful..! Let me tell you a little about the house, its a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house on 1.33 acres. Here are a few pictures of what it looks like before we bought it with the previous owners stuff. I will post more pictures in Oct of what it looks like with our stuff inside, and we get to keep the appliances..! Wish us luck and thanks to everyone for your help in making this happen..!

Ok so I know its a day late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAXTON..! Yesterday was jaxton's 1st birthday and we had so much fun. Travis didnt have to work thankfully so we spent the whole day just hanging out with our most favorite person in the world..! We went and hung out with our families and got some very cool gifts. From us jax got a bunch of winter clothes and a few toys, form aunt jessica and aunt courtney we got pj's, from uncle byron and aunt lyndsay we got some new jeans, from aunt lizzie and uncle martin we got toy cars and great gran leona got us 2 outfits. From grandma and grandpa Van Orden we got a spiderman tricycle which he'll love to ride as soon as he learns how, and from grandma and grandpa Ahlstrom we got a cute cowboy picture frame, a bunch of bath toys and a bubble machine which he had so much fun playing with this morning..! Thanks so much to everyone that made jaxton's 1st birthday so special and fun..! Here are some pictures of the stuff he got. Tomorrow there will be another post of todays activities. Today we got a package from aunt lizzie, uncle martin and cusin kailee. It was a birthday present for jaxton..! It was so awesome it was 5 little cars he can play with. Here are the pictures I promised. There are 2 pictures of jaxton walking outside with his toy. He just loves walking with that toy expecially outside. There is also a picture of the ducks that live in the creek right next to our apartment building. There are like 15 of them out there every day. He likes to push his toy towards them and try to run them over lol. Then the last 3 are the crafts I've done this week. The one is a mold of his hand print. The other one is 6 blocks with the letters of his name that I made. The last one is the magnet board travis made for me, I just painted it blue with black around the outside trim and put the words on there. I plan on putting 2 little black hooks on the bottom to hang up hats or coats. I think they turned out really cute and I cant wait to have a house where I can decorate his room.

Today was jaxton's 1 year doctor appt. He weighed in at 24 lbs and 7.8 oz and is 30 inches long. He is in the 80th percentile in weight and 63rd percentile in length. Over all combined he is in the 105th percentile for his age. He is walking with the help of his push toys and saying new words all the time like "mom", "dad", "no", "oh", and learning new ones almost daily. He also waves Bye Bye and gives kisses. He is growing so much and learning new things every day and I cant wait to see what new things he will learn in the months to come. My picture messages arent working so I cant send the pictures I've taken lately to my computer but as soon as I get it working again I'll update with pictures. Until next time :)

Today me and jax decided to play with the pans I have left over that I dont use anymore. He was making so much noise but was having so much fun..! His feet and hands were so dirty from the pans but he loved it :) Here are a couple pictures of him playing he was totally concentrated on banging the two pans together. Today I took jaxton to the park so that we could get out the house for a little bit and play. We started with the swing and then a ride on this baby motorcycle side cart. Jaxton did not like it when I started pushing the swing he started crying but he loved it when he just got to sit in it and watch the other kids play. We were sadly only there about 15 minutes though because the misquitoes were eating me alive they were everywhere..! So then we came home and played safely inside for a bit. It was nice to just get out for a minute cuz we're cooped up all week inside since its still too hot to go out in the stroller during the middle of the day for very long.

Clumsy Boy

Jaxton has been so clumsy lately. In the last week he has climbed behind 2 chairs and had then fall on him. He has fallen face first into the tub (empty of course) as well as went face first into our metal futon a few times. He has also fell off the ottoman in his bumpo seat. My poor baby has quite the road map of bruises and scratches yet he is still such a trooper and never gives up. Im so proud of him for getting up and trying again even though he got hurt before. Its so hard to keep up with an 11 month old thats mobile but I love it and I LOVE YOU JAXTON..!

Yesterday was probably the best day I've had in a very long time...well at least when it comes to entertainment. Travis finally got the satellite put into our house. We have lived here since may without it and I thought I was going to go nuts if we didnt get something soon. You see we have this one cartoon movie called Scruff that is jaxtons favorite movie to watch about a dog. We literally watch it everyday and I can recite every word and song of it its ridiculous. Its all i've watched and you have no idea how releaved I am to finally be able to watch a grown up show (well in between laundry and changing diapers). Anyways it might not seem like a big thing to go without until you actually do especially when you are home all day long and your child doesnt have anything to keep him entertained. So today was my 21st birthday..! I cant believe im 21 already I still feel so young lol. What I did today was go to lunch with my friend lindsey then a little shopping, for jaxton of course :). Then when travis got home today he brought me some flowers which is only like the 2nd or 3rd time he's ever bought me flowers in the 2 and a half yrs we've been together lol but I love him for it. I guess if he did it all the time it wouldnt be so special. Then we went to dinner at chilies with his whole family around 6:45. That was fun we all talked and had a good time and they got me some cool gifts. My mother in law got me a nice winter vest with a fur hood, his little sister gave me lotion from bath and body works, and his brother and his wife gave me a bunch of candy which my big butt doesnt need but that i'll eat in like a day lol. Travis's gift is yet to come once I can decide what I want but it will be between a playstation 3 (plays blue ray dvds..!), or an ipod touch, or whatever else I maybe find soon that I want but i'll let you know. After that his family and us all went to the mall where travis tried to talk me into buying some shirts but I just didnt like anything enough to buy. Im way picky though lately. The lady at kiddie kandids pulled us in to do a free picture so I did it with jax and his cousin dax. It turned out so cute they are both so adorable. After that it was already 9 so we came home to bed but all in all it was a way fun day. Thanks to everyone that made it special ;). We took some pictures at the restuarant that i'll post once I get them from my mother in law which might not be till sat so check for them then..!

This morning jaxton woke up with his hair sticking straight up. No matter what I did it wouldnt go down. I put water and lotion in his hair but it was still pointing up. In the pictures he still looks a little sleepy. I just love this kid he's so funny and oh so adorable :)..!

Preston Night Rodeo

Last weekend was the famous Preston Night Rodeo. During the day friday we went and walked around the little shops that were set up at the park. On friday night we went to the rodeo which was fun and on saturday night we went to the carnival. We took jaxton to see all the little games set up and the rides. He was scared at first but he got used to the noise pretty fast. I took him on his very first merry go round ride while travis took pictures from the sidelines. He liked it but it made me a little motion sick lol. Heres the best picture he could get that wasnt blurry.

So my mother in law got me this sticker so that us girls could make a tile decoraction for our homes. She had all these left over tiles from redoing her bathroom so she thought this would be a fun way to use them. I liked this saying the best and the total time to make this craft was like 15 minutes. Diaper Cake

Ok so my friend tawny is about to give birth any day now and I had just found out she hadn't had a baby shower yet. So me being a baby shower fanatic I decided to make her a diaper cake and get a few friends together to give her a surprise baby shower. I only had a couple hours to put this together so its not the best decorated one. I think it turned ok though its a good first try. The ingredients are 56 size 1 diapers, 2 9-oz bottles, 2 pairs of mittens, 2 pairs of baby booties, and 2 baby hats. She is having a girl so the stuff I got are pink yellow and purple but the diapers I got were blue but I didnt find that out till after I opened them lol. The only ribbon I had laying around that wasnt blue or black was my brown ribbon so it might not match too well but like I said it'll do and I'll make a better one next time when I have more time and I can buy more stuff to decorate with. So here is my thrown together diaper cake I made in 2 hours sorry its not that great.

My Family Reunion

For about the last 5 days me travis and jaxton have been gone to the Hutton family reunion in Indio CA. We flew out thursday and arrived back on monday. We spent time with my aunt cecilia and uncle john who are up here from south africa. We had a lot of fun hanging out and getting caught up on old times with the whole family. The people who were there were me travis and jaxton, my aunt andrea and cousin bryce, my aunt melody and cousins dominique and billie, my aunt cecilia and uncle john, my mother and step dad roy the twins and sierra, my sister gabrini and bro in law kenny, my brother martin and sis in law liz and niece kailee and soon to be nephew kurtis (bun in the oven), my sister yolande, my cousin tirina and her daughters corinne and courtney, and my cousin ralph and his kids nick tavis and abby. I enjoyed seeing everyone and having them meet my new family. Thanks to all for making us feel welcome. I wish we could have stayed longer but here is a video of everyone who was there.

So I saw this online and i've been wanting to do it for a little while now. Its called a towel cake. The "ingredients" are 2 body towels, 2 hand towels, 2 washclothes, a tube of lotion, a face mask, bath fizzers, a loofa, and a large candle (hidden in base of cake). I call it a pamper yourself cake. My friend is having a bridal shower next saturday so I made this to take as my gift. Its only my first try and I'll know what to do better next time. Its a trial and error process but I still think it turned out ok. I just wish it looked a little more decorated but this will do ;)

Fun 4th of July weekend

My 4th of july was so fun. Travis took us up to his grandpas cabin in Island Park Idaho where his whole extended family came up to celebrate the holiday together. Our weekend was filled with boating, wakeboarding, 4-wheeling, and lots of other stuff thats too much to mention. We drove up thursday night and stayed till sunday night. We started the fun with a friday morning parade where we got pelted with candy I mean hit hard, they show no mercy when it came to throwing us candy lol. After that we got changed and went boating a little and on a small 4 wheeler ride with me and travis and jaxton around the loop where his granpas cabin is. Then me, travis, his little sister, and his dad went on a drive to find a tennis court to play but landed up at this cool sight seeing spot where there is a river so clear you can see all the fish swimming and a bridge you go over to look right in the water. That was really neat to see. We got home just in time to eat and head to the lake to watch the fireworks. That was the most amazing thing to watch. The fireworks going off over the water with the reflexion and all the boats in the water where a sight all on thier own. It was so beautiful. On Saturday travis took me on a very far 2 hour 4 wheeling ride on trails up in the mountains where I got bit by a million mesquitoes and got covered in dust and dirt but man I loved every minute of it it was SO fun! Then after we got back we did some more boating and this time I tried wakeboarding again and I did so good. I was so suprised I got up and actually rode for a long time before falling even travis said he didnt think I could do it that fast. That was alot of fun and alot easier then when I first tried last weekend behind a waverunner. On Sunday we got everything packed up and ready to go in the car and helped clean up. After that we had the imfamous badmitton tournament the Van Ordens put on every year. We each played to see where we fell in the roster. I got 11th place but thats not too shabby for only my second time ever playing. Then after a nice sunday dinner we said our good byes and left to come home. All in all this weekend was alot of fun and I cant wait for next year...! Here are some pictures I managed to snap while 4 wheeling with travis and a couple of the cabins around his grandpas, but i'll have to post the wakeboarding pictures later when my mother in law sends them to me. I didnt get alot of pictures while we were there because we forgot our camera. I know stupid of me.

So jaxton has been getting around alot more lately. He has started to crawl not very good its sloppy crawling but he still gets around pretty fast. Now that he has discovered his new talent he is getting into alot more things now. Like today he decided after I put away the groceries that he would open the cupboard and take it all back out. He is so funny he loves the sound that the mac and cheese boxes make. He thought it was the neatest thing and I suspect he will be doing it again very soon.

Hello everyone, so we just had the funnest weekend this summer so far. We started off by going to a rodeo friday night which was pretty fun. All the bull riders must have decided they all wanted to come right by the fence where we were sitting so we could see all the action lol. Then we went to Glendale Lake in preston on saturday where travis's brothers wife's brother and his wife brought their waverunner. We had so much fun on there they let us ride alot and even talked me into trying wakeboarding for the first time...! I was so scared but I tried it and on only my 4th try I got up but then face planted it lol. I tried a couple more times and got up again and actually stayed up for like 15 seconds it was so much fun..! Once I fell I tried to get up again like 15 more times so that I could go past travis who was on shore because we were practicing in a different part of the lake but I was just too tired. I would show pictures but on a waverunner theres no way the person can turn around and take a picture. I'll be sure to get one when we go up to travis's grandpas cabin 4th of july weekend cuz we'll be boating and wakeboarding alot up there. But then when we left there we went and changed and met up with travis's brother and his wife again to play doubles tennis. That was alot of fun except we got beat (if you ask travis he'll say we won lol). Today when we woke up I could barely move every muscle in my body was screaming at me and we were so sunburnt because we remembered to lather jaxton but didnt put any on ourselves lol. So after we got up travis went with his friends to play more tennis and I went shopping with a friend. After a few hours travis came home and was even more burnt im talking boiled lobster so to cool off me, travis, jaxton and our 2 married friends went to Hyrum Dam and swam for a bit. For dinner we barbequed and talked outside for hours then came home to bed. All in all it was an awesome weekend and im so excited its summer..! I'll be sure to post sunburnt pictures tomorrow lol ;)

Tongue clipped ;-(

Today I had to play the role of mean mommy. Jaxton had an appointment to see the autorhinolaringologist (ears nose and throat doc) for him to get his tongue clipped. I was so nervous going there today I almost couldnt do it by myself. I was afraid something would go wrong or he might be in alot of pain and the thought of that made me teary eyed. You see jaxton has a normal sized tongue but the little flap of skin that grows under the tongue had grown too far forward so me and travis were worried he would have trouble speaking right or doing normal things like licking an ice cream cone one day. When he would try to stick his tongue out it would get caught on his teeth and he would have a snake like tongue and couldnt stick it out very far. So sadly (with ALOT of convincing from travis) we decided it was with the best interest for him. Oddly enough when it came time to actually do it he didnt even squirm or cry it was over in 10 seconds, he just jumped and looked at me like what the heck just happened for a second then went on with playing with the toy we gave him as a distraction. Of course they made me hold him down which horrified me, I couldnt bare to be that close so I shut my eyes cuz I definitely couldnt stand to see the procedure done. Im just glad all in all it turned out good and he is ok now. We went and got ice cream afterwards for him being such a champ for me. Thank you jaxton for being so strong and helping mommy not freak out. If he would have cried it would have been mount rushmore in there for me im such a baby lol.

Sprinkler fun

So me and jaxton went over to my friends house yesterday to play with her daughter in the sprinkler toy they just bought. I got him in his swim suit for the first time this summer and he looked so darn cute but unfortunitely he did not like that idea. The splashing was making him scared and the water was a little too cold for him. Needless to say we only played for about 15 min. The best part of the day was that I stripped him down to nothing and let him play under a tree in the shade for about a half hour and he just loved that lol. On friday I had the chance to go to my very first concert. Travis took me to go see the country rock group Little Texas. We went with his brother and his wife and travis's little sister. It was so much fun we werent even planning on going but his family asked if we wanted to go with them so we thought what the heck why not. We had ok seats kinda far in the back so we couldnt really see them very good so travis's sister and sis in law were like lets jump the railing and run up to the stage even though it was blocked off for people who paid alot more to stand close. So after some pursuading I decided to do it with them and when we got to the entrance we were just about in then this lady stopped us and asked for our wrist bands (which we didnt have) but after a second this other lady comes up and says its ok cuz we were cute its ok to let us in. How cool is that lol. So we stood there in this big crowd like 10 feet away from the band. It was so awesome I loved their music it kept us on our feet and dancing for a long time. The guys were too chicken to come with but thats ok cuz we ha a good time without them lol. It was kinda funny cuz there were these 4 drunk old ladys in front of us in the crowd and they were dancing all funny and yelly "woo hoo" real loud. But after about 5 or 6 songs we went back to the guys and sat by them till it ended. All in all it was a great night that we didnt expect to have but here are some pics. Sorry if some of them are blurry I had to take the pics with my phone. The first 2 pics are of our seats we had then the last one was of the band when we were up close.

New food..!

As you know jaxton has gotten 4 teeth and has been a champ about it. He has had this little cold though that just wont seem to go away. I can see why with the weather here staying below 60 degrees most days. Anyways he has had these teeth for a little over a week and has slowly started acting up during meal times. He started spitting the food out when I would give him a bite then he started pinching his lips closed and lately he'll flat out hit the spoon out my hands. So I finally figured it out. You see when I feed him its always at the same time as I eat so I started noticing that he stares at me with wide eyes while we eat. I started giving him bites of my food and now he wants to eat the same stuff as I do. So today for lunch instead of the usual applesauce or squash baby food I made mac and cheese. He loved every bite lol I didnt want to feed him too fast so I waited for him to swallow a noodle before I gave him another. He was getting so mad though he wanted to eat another bite while the noodle was hanging out of his mouth. It was quite entertaining actually. So here are a few pics of him after he ate. I just love that smile he was so happy...!

Now the last picture doesnt have to do with eating its to do with his hair. Recently his hair has started growing pretty fast and it started going curly! So the last pic is of his hair and I hope you can tell its curly cuz it looks more curly in person then in this picture.

So on friday I went to check his teeth as usual and yep you guessed it his top left tooth had poked through overnight. I knew it was close but I didnt expect them to be a day apart lol. I havent got a picture yet because he doesnt like it when I try to keep his mouth open. I will try to get one when he is asleep but we'll see how that works. Other then that nothing is new. Im a stay at home mom now as of last week because with the gas prices rising and day care wanting to charge me 450 for part time I wouldnt have been bringing any money home. So now I am just concentrating on school. I have been going to this school called At Home Proffesions doing Medical Transcribing for a few months. Its kinda nice cuz its go at your own pace and it enables me to stay at home after I get done so I can work from home. Travis is still working at ATK and he just got a raise yippee ;-)...! We live in a 1 bedroom apartment in logan which isnt that bad because its really big and the rent is 350 a month so its nice and it enables us to save alot.

Hello everyone...some exciting news...Jaxton has officially got his first tooth...! Its about time jk we are very excited to see his little buds sprout. So the story goes like this, my mom came to visit last week and jaxton was being a little fussy but not too bad he has always been really good at not being a very fussy baby. She said to me he was fussy because he was teething and I told her no its just cuz he's been a little sick lately. She insisted it was so I checked and sure enough you could feel the swollen gums. I've been feeling every day since and yesterday I felt his bottom left tooth poke out. He is being such a camper through it all you wouldnt even guess he was teething. Oddly enough he is also about to get the bottom right and both top front teeth...! He is now also wanting to chew on his food its so cute how he has picked up the motion of chewing with his one tooth. The picture I took is me holding his mouth open when he was sleeping because he wouldnt let me do it while awake but if you look carefully you'll see it on your right his left poking through.

So yesterday jaxton was playing happily in the living room when i went into the laundry room to do a load of laundry. I was in there for about 3 minutes and when i left him he was in the middle of the room but when i came back he was gone i couldnt see him anywhere. I just about fainted and my heart stopped until 5 seconds later i hear a noise and his head pops out from under the couch. He had somehow managed to roll/scoot himself under the couch in a matter of a few minutes. It was funny and scary within a couple of seconds. Now this is an interesting story because he has never done this before. He has always just been in the same spot as I left him. He isnt crawling yet either he just rolls everywhere and scoots but he never did it when I wasnt in the room until now so I officially have to start babyproofing my house.

ok so I dont understand how on the first day of May we have a blizzard...! If you cant tell in the pic thats snow on my car. Yesterday afternoon it started raining but I figured it would go away by today but when I woke up this morning it was snowing! On my way to work it got even worse then this it was snowing so hard that I couldnt see the mountains or the northbound traffic (I was going southbound) but now its 2:30 and its stopped snowing like 20 min ago but still I cant get over how logan will have a snow storm in may.

So this is the house we officially decided on and we have a meeting with a guy at Cantwell Lumber to draw up our house plans tonight at 5:30. You see if you buy the lumber for your house from them they do your house plans for free so that will save some money right there lol we're already cutting corners. The only thing we will change/add to these plans will be where the window in the living room is we are putting a fire place with a long skinny window on each side. Then where that weird half wall thing is between the dining room and living room we will take it out and add sliding doors there instead. We will be putting a deck from the top right corner of the house to to the wall where the master bedroom starts. So thats our plans we are excited and cant wait to start. Unfortunitly Travis and his family will be leaving to go on a cruise next monday so we will have to wait till they come back to continue.

Im so so so happy to anounce that me and travis got pre approved for a loan to build our home...! We met with our mortgage broker yesterday and we got a phone call today saying we got pre approved and the next step is to choose our house plan and bring it in to get appraised. So we noticed a few nights ago that you can actually buy cheap house plans over the internet if there is a house you like exactly, so we might do that and save some money rather then go get some made from a contractor and spend alot more. Im so excited this will be so amazing for our family to finally get settled especially while jaxton is so young. We were thinking of doing a 1300 sq ft home with a two car garage and an unfinished basement. This is kinda what we want our house to look like but we arent sure exactly, so we might change a few things on it like put the garage on the left by the master bedroom or get a completely new plan, or we might just get a contractor to do it we havent decided for sure yet its still so new to us. But as of right now we like this one the best out of the few ones we've seen.

So lately jaxton hasn't been hating being on his belly on the floor. I used to put him on the floor and he would start crying and just lay flat on his stomache with his face in the carpet. But the last week or so he hasnt been so fussy when it comes to tummy time. So the reason for my post is because tonight when I got home from work I was playing with him on the floor and he started doing push up type moves then he actually got on his hands and knees but it only lasted like 3 seconds before he fell but that is such a big improvement...! I tried to get a picture of him doing it but by the time I got my camera he was down again and pooped cuz he didnt do it again and started fussing soon after these pics. We think he will be crawling very soon though and we cant wait but then maybe I dont cuz that means my little baby is growing up and wont be my little sweat chubby boy anymore lol but we really are very happy he is developing and growing smarter by the day. We love you baby jax and we cant wait to see you start crawling ;)

The new plan

Ok so the deal didnt fall through with the house due to our realtor screwing us over and selling it under our noses but thats what happened and there isnt anything we can do it about it. There is no reason we should cry over spilt milk. Anyways so you see travis's brother is a couple weeks away from graduating with a civil engineering degree and him and his wife found this lot in a new community being built called Legacy Ranch in between preston and logan right around the border of Idaho and Utah. Its a huge community being built but its just starting out there are only 2 houses that have started being built so far. The size of Legacy Ranch is going to be huge though by the time its done in a year or so. There are about 300 plus lots in this place so you can just guess how big it'll be. Oh and it also has a man made lake that just got put in and they told us its getting fish put in it today. So long story short after we didnt get the house we started looking into these lots as well and luckily they had 4 left (out of about a hundred) in the first phase. There will be 3 phases of construction, the first being single family lots 1/3 of an acre and a adult senior community by the lake, the second being single family lots 1/3 to 2 acres and a bunch of townhomes, the third being parks natural habitats and various other things im still learning about. so we called and made an appt to check it out. So we are meeting with the guy in charge tonight at 7 and we will decide if we are going to build there or just buy a house already built. That is only if we dont absolutly love it there. We figured out It will cost us including the lot about 140 to 150 thousand which really isnt that bad we can turn around and resell it in a couple years for about 200 thousand if we wanted. If all goes well and we start building the same time travis's brother does, which is sometime in May, we should be done by around christmas or a little after the new year. But we are hoping to get it done before the heavy snow hits. I will try to get pictures of the land today and post them tomorrow. Hopefully this will work out but i'm excited for this if we do it...!

A day of many firsts...!

So today was another beautiful warm day and we had the chance to do alot of fun things with my husbands family and we had alot of firsts for jaxton. We took the boys outside and had them feel what grass felt like for the first time and Grandpa van orden took the boys on a short slow 4 wheeler ride (one at a time) for the first time although they were more interested in grabbing the keys and buttons on it lol. After that we all went to the park and played tether ball which turned into a competition between travis and his dad. Then we all were so hot we had to stop at Artic Circle for an ice cream cone. While travis was eating his cone jaxton was just so eager to have a bite so he gave jaxton just a little taste and oh my goodness he just went crazy he was kicking and throwing his hands around he wanted more. So travis pretty much shared his whole cone with him jaxton wasnt about to let him eat it all by himself. We also had a chance for jaxton to try out his new hat and glasses i got him while in st george but havent had a chance to have him wear them yet. It was a great day and I cant wait for it to get warmer so we can take jaxton outside more often.

So today me and Travis put our official bid in to the house we want to buy...! I will tell you about it now but you'll have to wait a day or two for pictures cuz I cant find my USB adapter. It is a 2058 sq ft home with a basement and main level on 1.24 acres with a detached 2 car garage about 5 min outside of Preston. The main level has a living room, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a dining room, a kitchen and a laundry room. Then you go down about 5 steps and you have a mud area and a door to the back yard. You turn to the left and go down about 6 more steps and in the basement there is 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a few storage closets and a huge room that has an old coal furnace in there the size of a bed and a smaller room off that that has the coal in it the size of a bathroom lol that we will take out as soon as we get the house because the old owners put in electric heat but never took the old furnace out. Now if you go outside that back door you see a couple huge oak trees and about 3 or 4 fruit trees all spread out. If you walk past them you hit huge flat ground big enough to build a house on. The lot itself is square for the small exception in the back right corner there is a ditch and a small creek that runs by. All in all the views are spectacular and the lot is HUGE, we're thinking of getting a calf later on, and we plan to remodel a few cosmetic things. Its a beautiful home but it is old so it does have green carpet and funny wall paper in the dining room lol but like I said it is just cosmetic that we need to do. We were lucky enough to find this at a great price and we hope the sale goes through so prey for us...!

Ode to Jaxton...!

So I thought Jaxton deserves a moment in the spotlight...He has just been the best baby I could have asked for. He sleeps through the night and even lets me sleep in sometimes to 9 or 10 ;) He lets toddlers and other children tug and pull on him with no complain and justs loves to have their company. He is always gentle with little animals and never fusses unless he is sick and even then its only enough to let you know he is there and wants to be comforted. He loves to just sit in his bassinet and play by himself for hours so that I can get the things done around the house and can just have a great time doing so. He is always entertaining us with the many news coo's and baby words he is learning and saying daily. He absolutely loves going on walks and being outside. I guess I am just lucky to have this wonderful joy in my life and we cant wait to see him grow and develop and learn new things every day but it also comes with sadness to see the time go by so fast. We love you very much and we hope everyone see's how great you are like we do....!

Oh and these pictures were taken 2 weeks ago at JC Penny for his 6 month pictures and they turned out great but I didnt get them put on line so I had to take pictures of them with my phone so sorry if they are fuzzy looking.

So we had made the choice to move to travis's grandmothers house in Preston Idaho the end of this month. It' s going to save us money and it gives me the chance to keep being a stay at home mom so it really is a good choice but it has to be the most boring town to live in. For those who dont know how far preston is its about 30 min north of logan utah its a very small town (doesnt even have a movie theater) and with travis's extra commute he has to drive the car since our blazer is too expensive to fill up on gas. Its definitely going to be hard living here though cuz his grandma is very anal about cleanliness but with a baby its hard to be clean all the time but i'll do my best to respect her home and we do appreciate the offer to live here. Wish us luck ;) I'll post pictures soon my camera is out of batteries and I will replace them as soon as we get settled here.

So I know its been like almost a month since I've posted anything but I am still here its just there has been a lot of new stuff happen and I've been so busy lately. To start off me and my husband travis and baby jax are busy moving to st george utah. I got a job working with my brother down here so me and jax are already in st george but travis has to wait to finish his job in the middle of march then move down here. He is actually down here for a little while cuz he had surgery on his left ankle but he should be healed by the 4th. Other then that nothing is new but i'll try to keep everyone posted.

4 Month Check Up...!

Today I took jaxton to his 4 month check up and to get his immunization shots. He weighed in at 17 lbs 14 oz which is in the 73 percentile what a chunk but I love it. I was actually surprised I thought he would weigh alot more then that. He measured in at 25 3/4 inches which is in the 67 percentile for his age that's so great huh...! After the doctor came in and checked him head to toe he gave him a clean bill of health then we headed to the meanest lady in town, the shot lady...! But before we went the doctor noticed he was going BBRRRR with his lips and blowing bubbles which is what he has been doing for weeks and said that is usually what 6 month olds are just starting to do so he is a little advanced for his age yippy..! So anyways we waited for the lady to call our names and when she did jaxton must have known it was time cuz he started fussing right away poor thing ;( He cried so hard when they gave him his shots I felt so bad. But I didnt feel bad for too long cuz right when I was getting him in his car seat the nurse comes running out and stops and says she forgot to tell me the doctor wanted me to get a flu shot right then and there. So I got up the courage and went back to the awful shot room and got to feel what jaxton just went through. So long story short we had a sad day today and to top it off jaxton didnt feel good tonight his legs hurt pretty bad and he had a small fever but everything is ok now and we're off to bed.

My Big Boy...!

My baby is getting so big he started eating out of the baby jars 2 days ago. It started when I gave him cereal about 2 weeks ago and after seeing he liked it but it wasnt filling him up I put a teaspoon of peaches in the cereal and he liked that but he was still kinda hungry. So Wed I started giving him a half a jar of baby food once a day and he just loves it he cant get enough. He looks so cute eating he gets it all over his bib and he gets so excited about eating that he puts his hand up to his mouth to get more but just lands up making a mess. He likes the peaches but he really likes sweet potatoes and applesauce but hates peas (I dont blame him YUCK). Here is a picture of how messy he can get but what you dont see is about 10 minutes after this pic was taken his bib was almost completely dirty. He is looking at me like put that camera down and feed me already ;-).

This morning I was getting jaxton ready for his bath and when I took his onesie off I stopped at his head because the phone rang or something like that. I stepped out for just a sec and when I came back and looked at how I had left him I just started laughing. Im not sure exactly why it was so funny but he kind of looked silly and to top it off he was cooing and making funny noises it just made me laugh. I just want everyone to see what a typical logan day is 6 months out of the year. ok its not always like this but it is half the time. I dnt know if you can tell but it is snowing really heavy in thse photos. I took these pictures christmas eve and it hasnt stopped since we've gotten about 9 inches this past week NO LIE. Lets just say im trying to stay like a bear and hybernate but i guess i gotta go out there some time or another. wish me luck lol.
